Betfred is a large bookmaker based in the North of England. Fred is most famous for his 7th Heaven Coupon and the Goals Galore Coupon, you know, “when both teams score, its goals galore”. Founded in 1967, they have over 35 years bookmaking experience. A little know fact is that Fred Done invented the Lucky 15 Bet in 1984. They offer some of the best customer service in the industry. As you’d expect, all this experience has translated in to their online casino offering.

Roulette Games

The casino at Betfred is powered by Playtech. On the instant play roulette, they have 6 RNG games. These are:

  • European Roulette – classic single zero roulette.
  • American Roulette – roulette with double zero. Do not play.
  • French Roulette – Single zero roulette with special French bets and slightly different looking board.
  • Roulette Pro – Single zero roulette with French bets and a standard board.
  • 3D Roulette – Roulette with a more realistic looking wheel, has all the racetrack and French bets.
  • Premium European Roulette – European roulette with better graphics, racetrack and French bets.

The roulette games are pretty much of a muchness. Don’t bother with the American roulette. The others are all single zero roulette games with different graphics and different special bets.

The stakes at Betfred RNG roulette are quite small. Not only is the maximum bet on an even money bet only £50, the table limit is only £100. High rollers go elsewhere. You can have £1 on an even money bet which is pretty low though.

Live Roulette
Live roulette is also powered by Playtech. They have your standard croupier roulette style roulette games as well as the air powered sling shot roulette. The stakes on the live roulette start off small at 10p on the inside and £1 on the outside but don’t really go up very high on the outside. The maximum bet is only £50 like on the RNG tables. Its even worse on the French tables where the even money max bet is just £25.

Deposit Methods
Credit/Debit Cards, PayPal, Skrill (Moneybookers), Neteller, Ukash, UK BACS Payment.

Minimum deposits
The minimum deposit is £5 by all methods apart from BACS where there is no minimum.

Sign up bonus
The standard sign up bonus is 100% up to £200. Deposit at least £15 and get it doubled. The bonus and stake have to be wagered through 20 times before withdrawing. For example, by claiming the maximum bonus of £200, you need to wager (£200+£200) * 20 = £8000.

Roulette Bonus Restrictions
Bets on roulette count to 10% of the wagering requirement. That’s quite a lot to play so it might be worth declining the bonus if you are only going to have a few spins and then cash out.

Other bonuses
As Fred is known at the Bonus King, you can expect many other bonuses too. The best ones are the double up deposit Tuesdays and Saturday. You can get £50 free on Tuesday and £25 free on Saturday. The usual wagering requirements apply before you can withdraw.

Loyalty/ VIP scheme
Betfred has the usual comp point scheme. You get 1 comp point for every £10 you spend. Your VIP level dictates how much these are worth.

Level Comp Points for a pound
Bronze 100
Silver 95
Gold 90
Gold Plus 90
Platinum 80
Diamond 70

As you climb the VIP ladder, not only are the comp points worth more, the perks get more too. You will get weekly bonuses, cashback and a host of other benefits. At Platinum level, you get the corporate hospitality.

Betfred is a solid casino brand. The roulette games are adequate for most people. If you are a low roller though, you’ll miss out on the 10p/20p roulette that other casinos offer and if you are a high roller, £50 maximum bet is not going to satisfy you at all. We do like the casino bonuses though provided you can play enough to meet the wagering requirements. As roulette is only 10% of the wagering requirement, it will take time for the casual player to work though the bonus. At least roulette play counts for something though. Many casinos exclude it totally.
