Introduction
Betfair is the world’s largest betting exchange with over 4 million customers world wide. It is publicly traded on the London stock exchange. Being so big and publicly traded you can be sure that this is an operator you can trust.

Roulette Games
Betfair offers 14 roulette games in total in the RNG section. The roulette games they offer are

  • Premium European Roulette – Standard European roulette game with premium graphics, favourite betting patterns saves and racetrack bets.
  • 3D Roulette – European Roulette with a 3d looking wheel. Has a high limit though, put up to £10k on on an even money bet.
  • American Roulette – Roulette with a double zero, cannot see any reason why you play this.
  • Club Roulette – European Roulette with lots of French bets such as Finale Plein, Finale Cheval, etc.
  • European Roulette – European Roulette, nothing else to say.
  • Mini Roulette – Roulette but with 13 numbers, 1-12 and 0. Has La Partage but still has a terrible house edge. 7.29% on the inside and 3.85 on the ouside.
  • Pinball Roulette Variation of European Roulette using a pinball board rather than a wheel. Exactly the same except for the bonus game. Worth playing.
  • Premium American Roulette American roulette with the option to save bets as favourites and better graphics.
  • Premium French Roulette Roulette with French bets and the ability to save your favourite bets.
  • Premium Roulette Pro Single zero roulette with announce and call bets.
  • Roulette Pro As the Premium version but with slightly worse graphics.
  • 3d Roulette Premium Just another version of roulette.
  • Multi-wheel RoulettePlay up to 6 games of European Roulette simultaneously. Chips here from just 10p.
  • Marvel Roulette – Only availble in the download casino. Progessive jackpot and single zero but that hides the marvel bonus which takes up a slot. This increases the house edge.

Even though there are 14 roulette games, a lot of duplicates. Still a lot of roulette games to play though and many different features.

Live Roulette
As you would expect, Betfair also have a live roulette table. This is powered by Playtech. They have a choice of roulette table, there’s the standard European Roulette, French Roulette and they have option so you can play 2 tables at a time with their dual roulette. They also have an air powered roulette wheel too.

Live Roulette Stakes
The stakes are a bit strange for Betfair roulette. On the inside the bets are pretty much on par with the highest online but on the outside they are pretty average. I think a few high rollers must have hit them for big losses so they reduced the outside betting limit. I’ev never seen a table before where you can put more on the inside then you can on the outside.

They also have other bonuses which can obtained via Betfair promo codes. For example, BLA021 is for £10 no deposit.

Roulette Bonus Restrictions
Bets on RNG roulette are counted at 20%. That may sound stingy but a lot of places exclude it completely.

The £200 live casino bonus, has a 100% weighting on live roulette but the wagering requirement is 60 times. Its still much better than RNG sign up bonuses though due to the weightings.

The other thing to note is that wagers that cover 25 or more numbers on the board will not count. This is to stop people betting on black and red to try clear the bonus. You can cover 2 dozens or columns fine though.

Other bonuses
From time to time, Betfair give out other bonuses. For example, there is currently a red card bonus on blackjack. Every day they shuffle 2 reds cards in to the deck in live blackjack. If you get one of the red cards, you get £10. Keep an eye out the site for new bonuses for existing members.

Loyalty/ VIP scheme
Betfair has a VIP scheme. To enter the VIP scheme, you must have earned at least 50,000 comp points. As you have to wager £1000 to get 100 comp points on roulette, to get in to the VIP, you must wager at least £5 million to get in. Sounds a lot and it is for most people but if you are a VIP, I think you could clear that in a month betting with high stakes.

Betfair have a comp points scheme for everyone. On roulette, for every £100 wagered you get 10 points. 100 points can be converted to £1. So for every £1000 wagered you get £1 back in comp points. Doesn’t sound much but you’d be surprised how quickly that can add up.

Summary

Betfair is a good place to play roulette, with its many roulette games and roulette friendly bonuses, you can’t really go wrong. Well, you can actually by playing American roulette but as long as you stick to the European games you’ll be golden playing at Betfair.
